during World War One, 1916, New York, at the Knickerbocker Hotel. When a clock maker’s daughter finds her father murdered, she must race against time to save her brother.
1916: Geneva Collet dreams of becoming a clock maker like her father who holds a job taking care of the five hundred clocks at the prestigious Knickerbocker Hotel. Her older
brother Mathias leaves to escort broken clocks back to France, the next step for him to
represent the family.
Geneva is done practicing on those broken clocks. With her brother gone, it is her chance to apprentice with her father, winding and cleaning the delicate Paris clocks. Golden gears, and levers fill her thoughts. Her world revolves around time.
But when her father is murdered, she must race against that world. The largest
explosion to rock New York City in its history reveals to her a larger plot by German
spies. She is the only one that can find the clues left by her father to stop the Germans
and save her brother.
